  1. Blue Note
    131 W. 3rd St (btwn. 6th Ave. & MacDougal St.) (212) 475-8592
    Opened in 1981, the Blue Note is arguably the world's most popular jazz club. World renown talent take the stage for six day runs, with Mondays usually reserved for excellent local talent. Two sets are 9:00 and 11:30. Prices are $35 for table reservations + minimum, or $25 cover at the bar. There is $5.00 cover charge for the Friday and Saturday late night jam sessions. Sunday brunch served Noon - 6 PM. Show times at 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM.

  2. Cafe Creole
    99 McDougal St. (btwn. W. 3rd & Bleecker) (212) 475-4132 A new addition to the McDougal Street music scene with Cajun and Caribbean cuisine and jazz served up Tuesday thru Sunday from 6:00-2:00 and Mondays from 9-2. No cover. No website, so call for schedule.

  3. Amsterdam Billiard Club

    Weekdays from 11am-3am. Weekends from 11am-4am.
    Amsterdam Billiards & Bar is New York's original upscale billiard club. Located in the heart of Union Square, Amsterdam Billiards is 11,000 square feet of fun! It features 2 cocktail lounges, 17 flat-screen TVs, ping pong tables, darts, foosball, pinball, beer pong, and 25 Brunswick pool tables.   4. Cafe Wha?

    Monday: Brazillian Night, $10 cover. Tuesday: Funk night, $7. Wednesday - Sunday: the Wha? Band plays a mixture of Rock, R&B, Funk, and Reggae, $5 on Thurs, $10 Fri and Sat. Hours: 8:30pm - 2:30am (weekdays) or 4am (Fri & Sat). They also serve dinner and drinks. All ages. Subway: A, C, E, B, D, F, Q to W. 4th St.

  5. AMF Chelsea Piers Bowl
    From 16th to 23rd Streets on the West side of Manhattan, (212) 835-BOWL (2695)
    Sun - Thur 9am - 2am, Fri & Sat 9am - 4am
    The new Chelsea Piers sports center offers a 40-lane state-of-the-art bowling facility with automatic scoring, an arcade featuring video games, air hockey, mini-basketball, etc. There is a snack bar and lane-side table service, a sports bar / cafe. They offer bumper bowling for children and Xtreme Bowling on weekend evenings with black lights, Day-Glo pins and music. It costs $6.25 per person per game Monday through Thursday, $7.00 per person per game Friday through Sunday, and $4.00 for shoes.
